Drawing comparisons to Björk, Sinead O'Connor and Sylvan Esso, Shrines is the moniker of Brooklyn-based singer and musician Carrie Erving (Ponyhof, Will Butler). Shrines’ debut EP “Release” was produced by Rosana Cabán (Psychic Twin) and was released on Nov. 12th, 2019. Shrines’ video EP of reimagined traditional Irish songs, called “Our Ship Is Ready” was released on April 16th, 2021. She is currently recording and releasing a song cycle inspired by the seasons, beginning with her new song and video “Infinite Spring” in June 2022.
